I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended Homestead High School. I started playing golf my freshman year in high school. We went to the State Championships when I was a senior. Through high school I caddied at Fort Wayne Country Club. I went to college at Purdue University on an Evans Scholarship. I walked on the golf team my freshman year. Since that time I have enjoyed the game of golf for its challenge, beauty, fun, and relationships built around the golf course. Joining the EWGA has been by far the greatest thing that I have done as an adult to build some fantastic relationships with other women who love golf and to get back to the joy of the game (having FUN). I am a second grade teacher at Covington Elementary School in Southwest Allen County Schools.

I was born in western Pennsylvania and lived there until my family moved to Muncie when I was 12 years old. I graduated from Ball State and then became a Math teacher at Muncie Central High School. After 3 years of teaching I decided to make a career change and went back to Ball State to study Actuarial Science. I then accepted a position at Lincoln National LIfe in the actuarial program and had been with Lincoln for almost 35 years until I retired in the spring of 2011. I had golfed some many, many years ago. In 2009 I decided that I wanted to take up the game again and by chance met an EWGA member on a golf course that summer. She asked if I golfed in a league and I told her that with my work responsibilities I couldn't commit to golfing every week. She then said "Have I got a league for you!" She invited me to golf as her guest at the next EWGA league night and I enjoyed myself so much that I immediately joined. Everyone was so nice and even though I wasn't a very good golfer, the women made me feel comfortable. Joining EWGA has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. I have met so many wonderful women and have so much fun golfing and participating in the social events. Now that I am retired I have more time to golf and I am loving it!

I have lived most of my life in Fort Wayne and have always been an avid sports fan. I just started playing golf in 2005 and am still learning the game. The 1st couple of years I played golf mostly with men, because I had few women friends who played. Joining the EWGA has provided me with not only many female golf partners, but with many new friendships that exceed the bounds of the golf course.
I have a business degree from Indiana University.

Golf Events & League
I joined the EWGA in 2002 serving as both the Treasurer and Golf Events Chair of the Naples, FL Chapter. Having moved to Fort Wayne in February of 2008 I saw a great opportunity to establish a new Chapter in NE Indiana. In October 2008 the Fort Wayne, IN Chapter became official. After serving as President the first two years I look forward to continuing on as the Golf Events and League Chair.

I grew up north of Fort Wayne and attended Purdue University, playing basketball for the Boilers. After college, I moved to Northern California, living near Wine Country for 20 years, and working in marketing. I returned to Indiana, and decided to improve my golf game. So I joined the EWGA in 2011, and have enjoyed meeting new people every week, playing different golf courses on the weekends, and the winter social events.
